In a historic milestone for social rehabilitation, Punjab Red Cross IRCA Kurali successfully conducted its largest-ever recruitment drive in collaboration with Blinkit and DISHA. Over 55 candidates were interviewed, and 20+ offer letters were issued on the spot, marking a new chapter in bridging rehabilitation with employment.

Punjab Red Cross IRCA Kurali has opened a new, state-of-the-art detoxification wing to better serve residents requiring intensive medical support. The wing is equipped with round-the-clock clinical monitoring and a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, significantly increasing our capacity and quality of care.

Our outreach team completed a landmark drive covering over 30 schools across the Mohali and Rupnagar districts, engaging with more than 8,000 students on drug prevention, mental health, and the importance of seeking help. This initiative is part of the broader Punjab Model for preventive healthcare and community resilience.

A new research-backed wellness programme combining yoga, meditation, and art therapy has been introduced at IRCA Kurali. Early results show a significant reduction in relapse rates and improved emotional well-being among residents, with 78% reporting better stress management within just 8 weeks of participation.

The 2024 Annual Impact Report highlights a record-breaking year for IRCA Kurali. Over 500 individuals were admitted and treated, skill development courses were completed by 320 residents, and the centre achieved a 65% successful social reintegration rate — the highest in its history. The report also outlines the expansion plans for 2025.
